Courageous lady

I WRITE in support of Helen Donovan (‘Pack of yobs’ trashed plants, Evesham Journal May 10).

She regularly represents many of us with her views on important issues affecting our town and community. She is often extremely courageous in making her point on what are often controversial matters. I would like the police to explain more about why no arrest could be made in this case?

I would like Peter Luff to comment on why the police are apparently so powerless to appear decisive in public when attending what I imagine was the most obvious case of criminality with the obvious perpetrators still at the scene? Why have CCTV if it does not serve any purpose?

We live in a very pleasant town and in a community comprised, for the most part, by a group of very good people. It is important not to lose this but we should be aware that this is under threat.

The incident that Helen Donovan witnessed is not an isolated one.
