Could do better
8:00am Friday 18th May 2012 in Letters
AS a parent of two children under the age of four I’m fed up of reading how Pershore retailers are baffled by the fact that it isn’t attracting shoppers.
We moved to the area two years ago and our first trip to town was on the Monday, which was a mistake as it was shut!
Following that we perservered to shop locally. However, we have concluded that it is impractical. There is a lovely looking toy shop, which I’ve never been into as I can’t get a buggy up the steps, and a number of other shops are also inaccessible. There is also nowhere to feed a baby, excluding the club at the Baptist Church, so trips to town are brief at best.
We would love to support local business but it’s not practical. I attempted to get a pair of boots heeled at 2pm on Saturday, but the shop was closed until Tuesday morning.
Pershore really could do better!
