I noticed G Gill’s letter that was critical of the care provided by Helping Hands.

Your readers should be aware that this does not reflect my experience of this organisation. Helping Hands has assisted my mother for the past two years. Their service did not falter during the recent bad weather, despite the fact that my mother lives in a rural area. Her carer drove through snow and ice to reach her. At times the car became stuck and passers-by had to provide a push to get her moving again. On several occasions the carer had to walk the last part of the route.

I value this level of commitment and care, as does my mother.
