While my husband was working at Middle Littleton on Tuesday, he was lucky enough to spot a red kite soaring on a thermal. He and two other people watched it for about five minutes before it drifted away when a glider came into view. We have made several trips to the Elan Valley and surrounding mountains to watch these super birds and have called at Gigrid Farm to watch the amazing spectacle at feeding time. ‘As the kite flies’ Wales is not far away and now I spend all my spare time scanning the sky. I am to say the least green with envy.
