Badsey Village ran its 2nd Open Gardens at the weekend June 20 and 21.
Despite not having the best weather we had quite a lot of visitors from quite a wide area of England with visitors from Derbyshire, Staffordshire, as well as Gloucestershire and even one or two locals from Worcestershire villages. We also had a couple from Belgium and one couple from Holland who were amazed to be able to chat, in Dutch, to one of the ladies helping to sell handicrafts in the Church! While most of the money raised will be given to help with our village Church running costs, some of the proceeds of the sale of teas was donated to the NSPCC, proceeds from the sale of plants was donated to the Parkinsons Society, and the Brownies and Guides sold cakes and ran a tombola in aid of Save the Children.
Thank you to everyone who came and if you didn't come, why not, you missed a treat.
