LAST week (April 19 to April 25) I was aware that there were roadworks on April 23 and 24 along the B4084 between Pershore and the M5 motorway.

I was going to work at around 3pm and decided to chance the B4084 due to schools coming out and traffic around Station Road usually being quite heavy at that time.

I sat for 20 minutes in the queue of traffic!

On Friday I was leaving for work around 10.30am so decided to go to Worcester via the A44.

As I turned left at Pinvin crossroads I saw a sign that advised of roadworks and possible long delays and we might like to consider an alternative route!

I was sat for nearly half an hour in this queue with constant traffic coming from the opposite direction, while we only moved a few car lengths due to some people giving up and turning round!

My question is who in the council or the Highways Agency was daft enough to have roadworks happening on the same days on the only two routes out of Pershore to the M5 at Worcester?

Personally, I think this is totally unacceptable, especially when the top dressing is such a waste of time and uses our money!
