IT was great to see young local racing cyclist Aimee Lane on the back page of the Evesham Journal (March 26) showing the boys the way home in the West Midlands Youth Circuit Series at Solihull’s Tudor Grange.
However, it also highlighted again the lack of any local cycle racetrack where our youngsters can enjoy full-on cycling in a controlled environment.
Aimee, H-BUG’s even younger Joe Gregg, and many other local youngsters are exciting local cycling talent, so why do they have to travel so far to enjoy their sport?
There is an urgent need for a Wychavon cycle track that can host cycle racing for all ages – including the over 60s!
Let us all do some something to enable Aimee to demonstrate her talents in front of a home crowd.
