Sir - Worcestershire Early Music have embarked on an exciting project 'Hear my voice' to bring participatory music and movement to care homes. The project has been funded by Awards4 all and the Eveson Trust.
We are really pleased. The staff at these settings have been very supportive and really attuned to the needs of the residents. After hearing so many 'horror stories' about care homes, we have had nothing but pleasant interactions and have seen true caring from staff who cope with situations that many would find awkward, offering residents support, comfort and dignity.
Music is such a powerful tool, and we are happy to have found enlightened partners throughout Worcestershire.
This new project sees early music performers visiting carehomes throughout Worcestershire including the Hawthorns, Evesham; The Willows, Worcester; Northwick Grange Care Home, Worcester; St Stephen’s Care Home, Worcester; Eastbank Court, Worcester; Dorset House Care Home, Droitwich; Haresbrook Home, Tenbury; Regent Care Home, St John’s; Brompton House, Broadway; and Breme Residential Care Home, Bromsgrove.
