Bell Tower Concert - Saturday at 10.30.
I have just got home after watching a concert in All Saints Church for the Bell Tower Fund. It was Marcel Zidane (local pianist) and Bretforton Silver Band. Tickets were £15 and included wine and nibbles which turned out to be a full on buffet. All the performers were magnificent and they performed 15 pieces. There were several solos, all high class. Marcel played beautifully as he always does but the band were perfection. The finale was Rhapsody In Blue by Gershwin which was absolutely brilliant and finished in a huge crescendo, to a standing ovation. John Wood has become a brilliant leader and conductor and the band seems to get better and better. It was well organised and the sound in the church was wonderful.
Thank you everyone for a great night. I even won a bottle of wine.
