I WONDER how many people living in Evesham know we have a food bank in this town? This government has a lot to answer for when it comes to food banks.
Nothing quite characterises the level of poverty in austerity Britain better than the dramatic growth in the use of food banks.
Former MP Edwina Currie said this was due to people who can't cook. Another Conservative said food banks were used by "people with drug, alcohol, and mental health problems".
These comments offend me. These people do not live in the same world as me.
How this government can stand by and allow this to happen in this country is a disgrace.
We spend billions on foreign aid and we have people struggling to feed their families.
