ON behalf of the Evesham branch Royal British Legion, I wish to thank all who made Saturday evening's event in the Market Square a success.
The three bands, Final Warning, Boogie Street and 15 English Pounds, gave their services free of charge to entertain a mix of old and young in an enjoyable evening.
Thank you, Joe Jones, for allowing us free use of staging and lights.
And thank you for the tireless work done by Lisa Field, Phillip Speed and Poppy Appeal organiser Fiona George.
Thank you, also, Adrian Danby for putting the acts together at short notice. And, of course, all who turned out to raise nearly £800 for the Poppy Appeal.
Alan Booth
