I WOULD just like to confirm what Avon Leisure Cruises have said in your article about Workman Gardens.
I have a boat moored near Tewkesbury and we often cruise the river Avon along with many other boats from the marina.
We will all stay for nights at Pershore, Bidford, Offenham and any other villages and towns along the way to Stratford.
But not one boat in our marina will stay overnight at Evesham.
It is common knowledge to all the boats that moor on the river Avon that Workman Gardend moorings are a not a place to stay for a weekend or even a night due to the unpleasant reception that awaits people, and the feeling of insecurity.
It is such a shame that no boaters from our marina or any other boaters I know feel safe in Evesham overnight as the moorings and surroundings are beautiful and there are lovely restaurants, a fantastic cinema and many shops within easy walking distance.
