I WISH the state my utter disdain for your recent reporting of a local community GP, the community that you purport to support.

What you appear to have done is attempt to increase your prowess by simply linking to a national newspaper by mere plagiarism and insipid regurgitation from those bastions of society, the Daily Mail.

Your August 14 edition publicly attempted to discredit and degrade part of the community that you claim to vehemently champion and have furthered that sycophantic national paper link by continuing the story on the 28th.

In doing so you have sensationally displayed only the damaging elements on the front page to link to a public support page on Page 9, that front page spin is as defamatory as it is unprofessionally malicious and I see that as a breach of the mission statement from your publishing owner, Newsquest.

Within the NHS mistakes do occur, especially as number of demands and individual patient contacts increase.

That is the unavoidable truth of a modern NHS and maybe the journalists at the Evesham Journal and Daily Mail alike might have been better afforded by focusing on that creaking structure rather than attacking the individuals that try hard to support it.
