WHY, oh, why, do these Nimbies have a knee-jerk reaction to such a sensible system of generating electrical power.

Wind farms don't make excessive noise and their foundations and infrastructure have such a small footprint.

Solar farms are the same. They require a large area of quiet power generation with very little concrete footings to remove when (and it will be removed) another system comes along in the future.

With these two means of power generation it is very easy to restore the original environment.

These Nimbies would rather have a massive 400-million megawatt power station that is built and controlled by a foreign company in some other part of the country that would cost us taxpayers billions to decommission (that's usually the way the contracts go).

Come on, get real. You won't know it is there after a couple of weeks.
