I FEAR that your editorial on solar farms falls a little wide of the mark.

As you point out, the population at large understands the need for solar energy and many people are buying into the scheme; so they are not opposed to solar panels per se, only to the use of agricultural land for the purpose.

Even the Government seems to be changing its policy in this regard and is looking to place them on the roofs of industrial buildings, schools, and government buildings.

And why not? If a householder buys into the scheme the panels are not placed in the garden, but on the house roof.
