REGARDING your front-page revelation of excessive speeding (May 29).

Anyone found to be driving at 130mph in a 60mph limit, even 100mph, needs their car taken away from them – just like a knife or gun that people feel threatened by.

As to the dangerous Sedgeberrow exit onto the A46 with its high ratio of young-family cars accessing the main road at school leaving time, let’s have a roundabout at the Evesham end of the Sedgeberrow bypass.

It’s what villagers asked for in the first place when the bypass was being planned.

It would reduce speeds and provide safer access to the A46 for the high volume of B road traffic at those peak times.

The statistics tell us that, if 2014 is like other years, an average of at least two youngsters up to the age of 15 will die on the country’s roads every week.

Speed kills, and then there is no going back.
