Using new bridge first time yesterday, I was amazed this tatty structure got planning permission.
I noticed that the high railings leading from the town have been replaced by a barrier about four feet high, with spaces of about one foot.
Imagine a woman with toddlers in tow; the spaces are just right for a child to slip through to a sheer drop below.
Did no one think of this?
I hope it doesn't take a tragedy for this to be recognised.
