Many thanks to the readers who have given me favourable comments on my book Pershore God Help Us.

I would also like to thank the locals who have given me useful information through the years.

Yes, there are certain chapters missing from the book that I didn’t consider relevant to Pershore, one being ancestral relative John Fuller MP for Lewes, known as ‘Mad Jack’, who built the Bell Toute lighthouse at Beachy Head.

He built several follies and is interred in a 25ft pyramid in Brightling churchyard.

I also failed to mention that the palace I worked in at Caserta, Italy, is the largest palace in the world with 1,200 rooms and 1,700 windows.

It was used in a scene for Star Wars.

When I hear Pershore Abbey bells ring it makes me think of Big Paul, a bell in St Paul's Cathedral weighing 16 ¾ tons.

Finally, I would like to thank the Evesham Journal for the brilliant article promoting the book, which is still available at Sedgberrow Books, 25 High Street, Pershore.

My gratitude to all!

Ern Fuller
