What a remarkable haul of speeding motorists reported in the Journal (February 13), where just under 1,300 tickets were issued during a total of 90 hours detection.
One every four and a half minutes is certainly a figure not to be sniffed at.
In the interests of transparency, however, and having given out the average number of tickets per hour it would be interesting to know the average percentile speed excess of those captured and, perhaps more importantly, the number of detection hours that can be attributed to the evening and late hours when the boy racers come out to play.
