A PUBLIC consultation was held by Bovis Homes on 19 December in Stow-on- the-Wold to announce their proposal to build 160 homes on agricultural land on the edge of the town.

An estate of this magnitude will affect everyone in Stow and yet the exhibition was very poorly advertised.

It is very difficult to believe that Bovis “takes local consultation seriously”, especially since the exhibition was timed just before Christmas, and failed to answer some key questions.

The key point is that 160 homes would make a huge impact on the struggling infrastructure of Stow – this would amount to around 400 people and probably up to 300 extra cars – so if you can’t find anywhere to park in the centre of Stow now or can’t get a doctor’s appointment quickly enough, imagine the impact of this extra population.
