COUNCILLOR J Franklin chaired the meeting. Seven councillors, district councillor M Annett and five members of the public were present.
Coun Franklin will be meeting with the probation services regarding the work that needs doing in both churchyard and cemetery.
An application has been made to divert the bridle path away from the new cemetery extension.
Vernon Smith from Gloucester County Council has been invited to attend a meeting, to discuss the pot hole fix first scheme.
Coun Franklin attended a meeting concerning the school’s parking problems.
Unfortunately, neither the school nor health and safety attended the meeting.
Planning and Highways agreed to contact the education department suggesting that the parking area originally designated for parent parking should be opened.
Martin Brady has filled the parish council vacancy.
Mrs Parr reported on the resounding success on the four days Jubilee celebrations. None of the activities were cancelled.
A suggestion was made that with any surplus money, a skate board arc could be provided, like the one at Illmington. Coun Gittens will go and have a look at it and report back. Coun J Garton will contact the Pollen family and see what funds also are available for this.
Concerns were raised at the lack of council grass cutting through out the village.
A name plate is on order for Broad Marston Lane.
It was agreed to hold a public meeting to discuss the Strategic Housing Availability Assestment, detailing possible building sites in order to get a collective majority response.
There is some confusion regarding the legal implication of the responsibility for clearing the ditches adjacent to properties. Clarification from Gloucestershire County Council will be obtained.
Mickleton in Bloom have carried out work on the corner of Granbrook Lane and Cedar Road corner and an oak bench has been placed there.
The new chairman of the Hedgehog bus is Alan Barclay from Chipping Campden.
The next council meeting is Wednesday, July 25. All are welcomed to attend.
