MEMBERS were reminded of forthcoming events including a science club meeting, ‘Colour in our Lives’, at Peopleton Village Hall on Wednesday, May 9, from 10am to 3.30pm. The details of the quiz, held on April 25 in Church Lench village hall were finalised.
Our speaker this month was Nicola Lee talking about nutrition. A vote of thanks to Nicola was given by Maggie Stroud. Our competition, A Good Healthy Recipe, was won by Christine Bailey.
Our next meeting, on Monday, May 21, will be our ‘resolution evening’. We will discuss the need for the employment of more midwives. Pauline Bamber gave an introductory talk, giving us ideas to think about. As we have several members from the medical profession it promises to be a lively debate.
