THIS month we were treated to an interesting talk by Dutch Lewis who explained his life-long love of music – how it began, as a young man who wanted to learn the guitar, and how over the years he has become an accomplished musician having conducted, written, taught and played a variety of instruments some of which he brought along and played for us.
Oh to have a little of his talent to be able to entertain others. We wish him luck with writing his book.
Our president Audrey reported that the craft club was busy making items for the Plum Festival. She also reported on the success of this year’s garden party which was enjoyed by all who attended despite the weather having other ideas.
Many thanks to our hosts Maureen and Robert for their hard work also thanks to all those who contributed to a lovely raffle.
A reminder to all our members that we hope to see as many of you as possible at the Plum Festival on August 27 in St Andrew’s Gardens.
Our next meeting is on September 13, at Wulstan Hall, Priest Lane.
