AT OUR October meeting we were very pleased to welcome Pam and Roger Carter who, together with a few friends, had come along to give a demonstration of line dancing. We didn't spend much time sitting down though, as after the first dance they encouraged us all to join in. Once we were all in our lines Roger showed us the steps, and we were all soon stepping out with confidence and having great fun too!

After such an energetic meeting we were all ready for the usual delicious supper of tea, coffee and cake. This was followed by the business meeting. Beth Milsom showed us the beautiful memory box she has made for our Centenary. We will be filling it with mementos, photos, reports etc to commemorate all we have done this year, and hopefully in time it will be a source of information for the WI members of the future.

Our centenary celebration will take place at Pershore Abbey on Sunday November 20. Everyone is welcome to attend and celebrate this occasion with us. In particular we would be very pleased to see any past members of our institute. The service is at 2.30pm and will be followed by tea and cake at St. Andrew's.

The competition for this month was for an article in metal, and the winner was Viv Breed with Angela Bilboe second and Janet Arnold third. Our next meeting is on November 10, when we will have a talk on the history of masks. As usual it starts at 7.30pm in Wulstan Hall, Priest Lane.
