It's been a busy week for Musyck Anon. On Wednesday 14th September we held an open evening at the Baptist Church, Evesham. Singers were able to join in a rehearsal and discover what it is like to sing in a small a capella choir. Led by conductor Robert Chatburn we learned a 17th century partsong and a couple of carols. If you came along we hope you enjoyed it and that you return to sing with us every week! If you missed it, don't worry - you can still come along to a rehearsal, just contact secretary@musyckanon.com for details.
On Sunday 18 September members of Musyck Anon busked in Stratford to raise money for charity. Dressed in 17th century costume the choir sang a variety of songs, ranging from the 14th century 'Sumer is icumen in' to more modern songs by Vaughan Williams. The money raised will go to the charity Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia research).
