A NIGHT at the races to raise funds for Chipping Campden Home Nursing on FridayNovember 11 at 6.30 for 7pm at Chipping Campden School Hall.

The start will be 6.30 with the first race at 7pm. Buy your tickets from the Treasurer on 01386 859241.

A night at the races is a fantastic, interactive way of fundraising, using a high quality DVD with a mixture of flat and jump races, with great commentary and fantastic finishes.

Tickets are £10 or £80 for a table of 10. This will include a Ploughman’s Cheese Platter and glasses of wine will be available – donations welcome! There will also be a raffle, so come and join the fun!

Chipping Campden Home Nursing provides free nursing care for terminal patients at home within a twelve mile radius of the town. It is available free for you or your family, if needed. Funded entirely from legacies and donations, it receives no grants from government or the private sector.

What happens?

Race night is run under the lottery and amusement act 1976.

To comply with the regulations:

Once all bets are placed for a race the tote is closed.

Then we show the race - Usually the bet is set at £1 - the tote takes 50 per cent for the charity the rest is split between the winning tickets.

So, it’s a fun way to raise a lot of money for a very worthwhile charity and make some money for the punters at the same time!

Ring the Treasurer on 01386 859241 to buy your tickets and support a Good Cause.

New members and enquirers are always welcome at our weekly dinner at the Cotswold House Hotel on Thursday evenings at 7 for 7.30. Membership is open to women and men.
