THE July meeting of Bidford on Avon WI was held at The Bidford Methodist church.
President, Shirley McAloon welcomed everyone including a visitor and a new member. All the details of events, outings and ,classes were detailed in the monthly news letter.
Eugene Schellenberg then delighted us with his talk about how he and his wife were instrumental in starting the Ifakara Bakery in Africa. All the money raised by his talks goes to supplying free loaves to the needy in Ifakara A wonderful and inspiring talk and how nice to receive a letter 24 hours later thanking Bidford on Avon members. Our money will enable the distribution of over 400 loaves.
Refreshments followed , the competition winners were announced and the evening ended with the raffle being drawn.
The next meeting will be held 8 September at the Bidford Methodist Church when the speaker will be Susan Drage. Her talk Recycling with a difference
