MEMBERS and Guests met up on 14th June for the annual visit to two local Churches. This year’s excursion was to St. Mary’s at Shipton-under-Wychwood and St. Simon & St. Jude at Milton-under-Wychwood. The history and fabric of both Churches was described in detail by the Society’s President Tim Porter, and the afternoon was completed with an enjoyable cream tea provided by the Ladies of Milton-under-Wychwood W.I. The Chairman, Tim Sedgley, thanked Ray Poulton for organising the trip and Tim Porter for his depth of knowledge of the two Churches.
The next excursion for the Society is to Stamford and Burghley House in Lincolnshire on Wednesday, 3 August 2016.
For information regarding membership of the Society please contact the Membership Secretary on 01608 651413.
