AT OUR March meeting we enjoyed a talk by Adrian James entitled “A Garden from Scratch”. Adrian told us how he and his wife Sheila had, at their house in Offenham, converted half an acre of meadow into a carefully designed and well filled garden. Within the amazingly short time of three years they were opening the garden to the public as part of the N.G.S. It was clear that they had worked prodigiously hard both at the hard landscaping and the planting. Adrian was a relaxed and entertaining speaker. His accompanying slides well illustrated both the work in the garden and his photographic skills.

Our April meeting takes the form of the Spring Flower Show on April 2 in St George’s Hall, Blockley opening at 2.30pm. In addition to flowers there are classes for cookery, handicraft, photography and a section for children to enter. Schedules are available at Blockley Shop and entry forms need to be returned to the shop by 4pm on April 1.
