The Guild held their twelfth AGM on Tuesday February 2 at The Civic Centre. It was well supported by the members who play a very important part in carrying the Guild forward.

Kathleen Tunbridge, our Chairman chaired the meeting which took the usual format necessary for these occasions. Reports were read out, financial report presented, where some discussion took place over future costs to the group. All was calm though, no tantrums! The present committee were prepared to stand again for a further year and this was proposed and seconded by two members. Kathleen brought the AGM to a close and we enjoyed tea and cake before resuming our normal meeting.

We did not have a speaker as we decided to allow members to be involved in discussions on various outside visits. This proved to be quite successful, and I, as Secretary can now do a bit of homework.

The ladies do like going out for visits as many of them are no longer able to drive so we arranged a date & place to visit at this meeting.

Our next meeting will be held on March 1 at the Civic Centre at 2pm where our speaker Rosemary Prosser will talk about From Tights to Trousers. We will be pleased to welcome new members, contact Marian Coulton 01386 550177 for any further details.
