Report on the meeting held on March 25.

Mr David Lewis resigned from the Council with immediate effect.

Two parishioners have resigned from operating the speed gun, but three new people have been trained.

Gladmans have resubmitted their development planning application.

The church wall repairs have been completed, but the retaining wall by the ramp is defective and needs taking down and replacing. A tender for the work will be prepared once guidance has been received from a structural engineer.

It was agreed, in principle, that the Parish Council would take over the vacated brick building at King George’s Hall as an office, subject to the availability of costings for the conversion work required. The final decision will be made at next month’s meeting.

The first mowing has been successfully carried out. A record of when the work is carried out is being kept.

Amey will be informed that the repairs carried out in Back Lane have not been successful as cold tar was put on top of puddles. The only solution would appear to be installing kerbing and Amey will be asked to do this.

The Mickleton “boundary” stone has been vandalised. Ebrington Parish Council has been informed.

The blocked drain by the Plantation will be reported.

Support is given to Cheltenham Hospital for the restoration of A and E in the general hospital.

David Wood has launched a new website www.lovingthecotswolds.

A request has been made to the landowner of Granbrook Farm to fell the dangerous oak trees overhanging into the churchyard.

Gloucestershire County Council has agreed to some repairs to the pavement in Meon Road.

The falling 30mph sign on Stratford Road will be reported.

The Neighbourhood Watch team have received congratulations from the Police.

The report of the Annual Parish Assembly will appear in next month’s magazine.

The date of the next meeting will be 29th April, 2015 at 7.30 p.m. in King George’s Hall.
