IT was a good start to the WI year with our first meeting in January. After welcoming three new members and one visitor, we stepped back into the Georgian period as a very energetic Paul Harding from Discover History entertained us with tales of life from that period. Dressed in period costume and providing artefacts and pictures, it was a very lively and entertaining talk.
Business included a report about the successful Christmas lunch at The Bell, an update on the skittles matches and members were asked about how to proceed with the Lunch Club and Walking Group.
Our next meeting Wednesday, February 4 might be a little messy as we welcome John Christopher to present a Clay Workshop. Meeting as usual in the Village Hall 7.30pm. Visitors welcome £4.
