On September 11 it was our Harvest Supper and as always we enjoyed a varied buffet, including tempting desserts made by members. An envelope was passed round to collect 'Coins for Friendship' and final arrangements were made for our visit to Harvington Hall the following week.

During the afternoon, as part of the celebrations to mark one hundred years of the WI in 2015, several of our members had joined with other groups to welcome the Centenary Baton's arrival in Pershore with tea, cakes and competitions. Joyce Davey entered a lemon drizzle cake, Jill Robinson made a banner displaying the name of Hampton WI and, in the flower arranging, Ann Evans won first prize in the small arrangement section with a very pretty posy in a tea cup.

Next week we are looking forward to visiting Bletchley Park and on October 9 it will be our AGM. Our meetings are held at the Hampton Guide and Scout Community Hall on the second Thursday of the month at 7.30pm and visitors and new members are always welcome. Please contact Jill Robinson on 01386 40136 for information.
