THE July Meeting of Bidford on Avon WI was held at The Bidford on Avon Methodist Church. Jerusalem was sung and the President, Joan Churchley welcomed everyone. Members were given written information about future events and classes being arranged by the Warwickshire Federation of WIs.
The speaker for the evening was Peter Preece. His talk ‘Every Picture Tells a Story’ included a power point presentation of his photographs of wild life taken locally and abroad. These included his favourite bird the kingfisher and reptiles and insects. Included were prize winning photographs. He was an excellent speaker.
Refreshments followed and the evening ended with the competition winners being announced and the raffle being drawn.
Our next meeting will be at the Bidford Methodist Church on the 11th September at 7 30 .
The speaker is Pall Betterton. His talk is ‘The Mysteries of the Titanic’.
