LEARNING is for life and life is for learning – and it is all sociable and fun. That’s the aim of the Bourton and District U3A who meet regularly in Moreton in Marsh, Stow and Bourton on the Water

The University of the Third Age, U3A, enables people to meet and learn together, not to gain qualifications, but for the sheer enjoyment of learning and discovery.

What is the Third Age? Well, if the First Age is childhood and the Second Age is the time of parental and work responsibilities, then the Third Age is the time to explore, expand your horizons and indulge in everything that you haven’t managed to fit in before.

Local U3A Groups include: Family History, Photography, French, Music, Film, Skittles, Country Dancing and Walking. But the list is absolutely flexible and there are no limits to what you can learn with like-minded individuals in U3A, which also organises outings to places of interest and events as well as arranging cinema and theatre trips.

Membership is open to anyone in their “Third Age” - usually people who are retired or semi-retired, but there are no age limits and there is a strong social element to all U3A activities.
