Notes from the meeting held on February 17.

Lengthsman: The clerk is to meet with the Lengthsman on a monthly basis to discuss work etc. It was requested that attention was given to clearing gulleys on the A44.

Recreation Ground Car Park: Works to improve the car park were discussed.

Defibrillator Cards: The defibrillators are to be position in the pavilion and on an external site at the village hall. Wording on cards to be issued to the whole village is being drafted.

Parish/Neighbourhood Plans: The chairman and vice-chairman had attended a meeting at Wychavon District Council where costs and benefits were discussed. The plan would enable the control of development through policies in the medium to long term.

Policing: The police continue to monitor the speed of vehicles travelling through Fladbury.

County Councillor’s report: Additional superfast broadband would be supplied to the parish during phase 1 of the programme, running up to 2016.

A study will be taking place on the feasibility and design of a cycle route from Pershore, through Fladbury, to Evesham.

Cllr Val Wood mentioned the Localism in Action event on Wednesday, March 26 when councillors could learn more about New Homes Bonus, assets of community value, allocation of affordable housing, the rural communities programme and attracting people to become Parish Councillors.

Planning: Evesham Golf Club: The meeting supported the application for the installation of solar panels and two banners.

Glasshouse Liaison Group: The next meeting would be held in April. Residents should inform the Parish Council of any further issues with odour from the site.

Recreation Ground/Pavilion: Quotes for improvement works to the pavilion and ground had been received. Painting was to be carried out in the spring.

Fladbury Pumping Station: Following a meeting with Severn Trent and local residents concerns were raised concerning the deep hole full of floor water left by tankers servicing the pumping station. A request to arrange the repair of the site had been made.

Flooding Issues on A44: The vice-chairman had met with David Lavender of WCC to address the constant flooding problem adjacent to Wood Norton farm houses.
