Sorry to be leaving Evesham

A FORMER Evesham town councillor is bidding farewell to the town as he takes on a new role in to Brussels.
Gordon Matthews is heading to the Belgian capital to work for the Quaker Council for European Affairs.
Mr Matthews, who was a town councillor from 2007 to 2011, said: “I shall be sorry to leave Evesham and the friends I’ve made. I’ve lived in a lot of different places, but really like Evesham. I may come back after a few years but I’m looking forward to working for progress on that issues I feel passionately about.”
