TWO well-known faces kicked off two walks to raise money for Cotswold charity Homestart.

The founder of the Cotswold Farm Park Joe Henson and Inspector Lynley actor Nathaniel Parker were at the start of the walks which started at the farm park in Guiting Power and Cirencester Rugby Club.

More than £1,200 was raised which will be used to train more volunteers to help local families.

Maria Evans, charity trustee, said: “We were very happy with the day and appreciated all the support from Joe, Nat, and our walkers, and all the support we received from local businesses and groups.”

Homestart Cotswolds provides weekly parent-toparent support in the home for families with children under five and has a base at Stow and Cirencester. Last year it supported 64 families with 179 children.

The charity relies on volunteers to keep its services going.
