A MOTHER was grabbed from behind whilst with her child in Bourton-on-the-Water.

The woman in her early 30s was grabbed whilst she was with her young child on Friday January 26, responding by hitting the offender.
At around 6:30pm the woman, aged in her 30s, was grabbed from behind while she was pushing her child in a pushchair. 
She had been walking on the A429 footpath heading from the direction of Stow-on-the-Wold, 200 yards before the Coach and Horses inn.
The woman managed to hit the offender, which caused him to fall to the ground.

She then fled the scene with her young child and both were unharmed in the incident.
It is not yet known what the motivation of this incident was.
Officers are currently conducting searches of the area and will be doing house to house enquiries throughout the evening.
