A UPPER Rissington woman was found to be more than two-and-a-half times over the legal drink-drive limit when she was stopped by police near Chipping Norton, a court heard.

Anna Aldridge, of Southgate Court, Barrington Road, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when she appeared before Cheltenham magistrates.

The 31-year-old was stopped on Church Piece, Church Westcote, on January 26, the court was told.

She was found to have 90 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 35 micrograms.

She was disqualified from driving for 19 months, placed under a two-month home curfew and ordered to pay £40 towards prosecution costs.
