THE chairman of Cotswold District Council has been visiting Chipping Campden's Post Office Sorting Office as to pass on encouragement to postmen and women during their biggest time of the year.
Mark Annett visited the Back Ends-based post office on December 15, to say thank you to staff for their hard work.
Coun Annett said: "It is really important to recognise the important part the Post Office plays in providing essential services by delivering the mail throughout the Cotswolds, and it is really interesting to see staff at work during this busy time of year.
"I recognise that the Post Office work is an all the year round exercise and the public rely heavily on the social advantages of having post men and women walking around on deliveries in the community.
"We thank them for being here."
