HUNDREDS of guests enjoyed a concert of Christmas music and helped raise £3,000 for a variety of charities.

The North Cotswolds Rotary Club's 30th Anniversary Christmas Charity Band Concert took place on Saturday, December 10, and attracted an audience of 300 people.

Among the guests attending the event at The Cotswold School, in Bourton, were the High Sheriff of Gloucestershire, the Rt. Hon. Countess Bathurst, and District Governor Richard Purdon.

Colin Gatenby, president of the North Cotswolds Rotary Club, said: "This is the 30th year that we have arranged a Christmas charity band concert and we have been treated to a feast of excellent music.

"We are most grateful to our honoured guests and all who come to support us, and also to our many helpers, especially Keith Jacob for organising this event.

"May I wish you all a very Happy Christmas."

On the night there was music from The Band of the Royal Air Force Regiment and the Shades of Blue Big Band, who entertained the crowd with classic carols and upbeat Christmas tunes.

The money raised on the night will be donated to The Royal Air Force Services Charitable Trust and the rotary club's four main charities: Gloucestershire Young Carers, MIND, Multiple Sclerosis, and Building Malawi.
