THOUSANDS of people will pay tribute to fallen soldiers in Worcestershire.

Across the weekend, remembrance services will take place all over the county commemorating the end of the First World War.

On Remembrance Sunday (November 13), Worcester Cathedral will hold a service at 9.45am.

The congregation will then head to the war memorial for a 10.45am service and two minutes silence.

At 11.15am the bells will be rung, half-muffled until 3pm at the cathedral and at 6.30pm there will be a Requiem Eucharist.

On Armistice Day itself (Friday November 11) there will be a short service at the cathedral war memorial at 10.45am.

Claines Church will have a remembrance service at their war memorial beginning at 10.45am.

The Claines British Legion will be in attendance as part of the service.

In Droitwich, people will meet at the underpass end of Ombersley Street East at around 10am, before moving to Victoria Square for the Remembrance Ceremony at 10.30am and meeting at the war memorial at 10.45am.

Afterwards, the procession will go to St Andrew’s Church for a service at 11.30am.

St Mark's in the Cherry Orchard Church will host a Remembrance Service at 9.30am as well as the All Souls Service at 6.30pm.

At St Martin’s Church on Remembrance Sunday will be a parade service beginning at 9.55am and ending with the act of remembrance at their war memorial at 11am.

A new monthly service at St. Stephen’s in Worcester is offering ‘Something different on a Sunday evening’ which has the Royal British Legion taking the first part of the service before reflecting on ongoing conflicts in the world today.

A Royal British Legion parade will take place in St John's from 9.30am on Sunday.

All ex-service personnel are invited to join them at the 2nd Worcester Scout Hut in Swanpool Walk as they march to St John's Church for the remembrance service.

In Evesham, the Royal British Legion will meet in Market Square at 10.40am and then parade to the war memorial for a service.

The parade then moves off to All Saints Church for a service after. MP Nigel Huddleston will be in attendance.

There will also be a small Armistice day service at Evesham War Memorial on Armistice Day at 11am.

Pershore Schools Armistice Service is at Pershore Commemorative Garden at 9.30am on Armistice Day and involves the five schools in Pershore, attendance by invitation only.

Pershore will host an act of remembrance at Pershore Cemetery on Friday at 11am, including the Royal Canadian Air Force and a British Legion presence.

On Remembrance Sunday, a parade will meet at Pershore's Asda store in the car park at 10am, led by a Royal Air Force Band.

The parade will march up through the High Street and continue to Pershore Abbey.

Following the Remembrance Service in Pershore Abbey the parade will march the reverse route.

On the march back the salute will be taken outside the Town Hall.

In Malvern, there will be a short service on Armistice Day at the war memorial located in Malvern Priory Church.

On Remembrance Sunday, a parade will meet on Graham Road at 2pm by The Pembridge Hotel on the corner of Albert Park Road North before marching to Great Malvern Library.

The service will be observed at Great Malvern Library and after this has taken place the parade will reform on Graham Road.

In Upton-upon-Severn, a parade meeting at the old fire station will begin at 10.15am ahead of a 10.45am service at St Peter and St Paul Anglican Parish Church.
