THE annual Battle of Britain Service in St Peter’s church Little Rissington is to take place on Sunday, September 11 at 3pm.
It will remember and commemorate the sacrifices of those airmen who served at RAF Little Rissington during the Battle of Britain, an aerial conflict which ensured the UK, along with other countries, continued to live in peace and freedom from the tyranny of Hitler and the Nazis.
In the churchyard are memorials to those who lost their lives in the battle and commemorative crosses will placed there by members of the RAFA North Cotswold Branch, as they have done for some seventy years. Following the service there will refreshments in Little Rissington Village Hall.
