A SHIPSTON driver has been banned from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.
Alistair Swift, 22, of Beecham Road, admitted to driving over the alcohol limit in Beauchamp Avenue, in Leamington Spa, on May 4 this year.
When tested he had 45 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
He had appeared before magistrates sitting at Leamington Spa on May 20.
Swift was also fined £240 and ordered to pay costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £30.
