THE Met Office has issued a weather warning for the Cotswolds this evening.
Rain has been falling all day in many areas and looks set to continue through the night and into the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Lightning is also expected.
The Met Office’s chief forecaster said: “A frontal wave is expected to move in from the southwest later today, bringing some heavy rain to southern England.
“Whilst there remains some uncertainty in the exact location of the heaviest rainfall, accumulations of 20-40 mm could be possible quite widely within the warning area, whilst 50-60 mm is possible in one or two places.”
