A RADIO broadcaster and race enthusiast for more than 20 years will be at the Ebrington Arms next week to give inside knowledge on the Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup.

Rupert Bell, who broadcasts on Talksport Radio, will be at the pub on Monday March 9 and has been presenting the Cheltenham Preview Night at the pub for the past seven years.

He will be joined by additional expertise as local horse trainer Milton Harris takes his seat as well as a selection of jockeys. Between them they will give an overview of the week's racing and give witty commentary on what lies ahead for the year's biggest spectacle in the racing calendar.

As well as top racing tips, the entertainment includes a raffle to raise money for the Injured Jockey's Fund. Prizes include £100 of Betfred vouchers, tickets for the April Cheltenham meeting and tickets to Stratford races.

Pub owner, Claire Alexander, said: “It’s always a great night out with top comedy banter from Rupert and Milton and it’s the perfect place to get the low-down on the week. We’ve only got a few tables left. We wish all of our customers the very best of luck at the races, you can always spot whether a customer has had a good or bad day the second they walk through the door so preview night should help them out."
