TWO people were taken to hospital following a three-vehicle smash that closed a road for several hours on Saturday.
The collision outside the Beckford Inn Hotel, in Beckford, involved a Volvo estate, Ford Focus and Audi A3. Two ambulances and a paramedic from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended the scene at the A46 junction with Station Road at 09.34am. Two fire engines from Evesham were also called and cut the roof off one of the vehicles to release an injured woman. She is believed to be in her 70s and suffered an injury to the left side of her chest and was taken to hospital in Gloucester.
A man, believed to be in his 40s and the driver of the Audi, was treated at the roadside and taken to hospital in Worcester.
The Teddington roundabout was closed to traffic until 15.49pm with a diversion put in place while the three vehicles were removed from the scene and debris cleared.
