A CAR owner will have a slightly more expensive Christmas than originally planned after their car mounted the pavement in Broadway and hit the low stone wall at the front of the Lygon Hotel.

West Mercia police said they had received no reports of an accident and there has been no reports of any other vehicles involved or any injuries.

The incident was reported to the Journal by a member of the public on Friday December 12 shortly after 2pm.

A member of staff at the Lygon Arms Hotel confirmed there was a car embedded in the front wall and said it was going to be removed soon. She also said she believed no one had been hurt.
