AN appeal for recipes has whetted the appetite of locals around Blockley.

A group which is coordinating the development of the Blockley Development Centre has been asking residents around the district to send them their favourite recipes which will be collated into a book to raise money for the centre.

And the group hasn't been disappointed. A variety of fascinating and unusual recipes have been flowing in.

“The range of recipes we have received or been promised is really good, but there is still room for more," said Joanna Knight who is chairing the fundraising

committee.

“Maybe you have a recipe that your mother or grandmother loved to cook or a family recipe with a story behind it, or something you will always

remember because of a special occasion, or simply something you love to eat," she added.

The recipe book is just one of a whole series of ideas that are being developed by a dedicated fund-raising committee set up by Blockley Heritage Society. Other initiatives include a Safari Supper being planned for Friday November 28th and the sale of Blockley Heritage tea cloths.

Anyone, not necessarily those local to Blockley, with a recipe they would like to share can send it either by email to jsmknight1@gmail.com or by post to 2
